MOVIE: EL LABERINTO DEL FAUNO
This is a poster for Guillermo Del Toro’s award winning film “El Laberinto Del Fauno” (known in America as “Pan’s Labyrinth). The film tells the the story of a young girl in fascist Spain who discovers she might be the princess to a magical kingdom. The poster evokes imagery The Pale Man, an iconic creature from the film who is a part of her challenges to rejoin her people.
CONCERT: TOOL
This is a concert poster for the band TOOL. TOOL’s music mixes metal and psychedelia, creating soundscapes that are both explorative and dark. The concept of metamorphasis is very prevelent throughout their discography, which became the main inspiration for the poster.
SOCIAL JUSTICE: PROTECT AND SERVE
This goal of this poster is to bring awareness to white supremacy in law enforcement. Police with ties to white supremacy and other hate groups lead to excessive use of lethal force against people of color.
ENVIRONMENTAL: MURDER
This poster calls out the unsustainable methods of the palm oil industry. Palm oil can be harvested with more sustainable methods, but it is cheaper to tear down the jungles of palm trees, destroying the habitats of hundreds of species. This poster parodies Nutella, a very popular product containing palm oil that can be easily avoided in foods.
